Social Connect - LinkedIn

To use authentication with LinkedIn you must first create an app.

Follow this step:

Step 1

- Go to LinkedIn Delopers Site https://developer.linkedin.com

- Click on Api Keys on top right

Step 2

- On the List of Applications page click Add New Application.

Step 3

- Once presented with the Add New Application page you will need to fill the required fields, Website URL (e.g. http://www.example.com/), Javascript API Domain (e.g. http://www.example.com)

- Upon clicking Add Application after providing the necessary information you will be presented with your Applications Details page.

- Set Redirect URL OAuth 2.0 on http://your_site.domain/index.php?option=com_jsn&tmplsocial=1&view=linkedin&task=accesstoken Important

 

Step 4

- Copy and paste your Api Key and Api Secret provided by applications details page to configuration of Easy Profile Social Connect

- To find the configuration of Easy Profile go to Administrator->Components->Easy Profile->Options and click on Social Connect Tab.
