Configuration

Prepare your site

Important To work properly Easy Profile needs to have a menu item of type Easy Profile » User Profile. Otherwise Joomla can't route on correct menu item for profile pages.

Configuration of component

You can configure Easy Profile from Components » Easy Profile » Options button.

General Settings

» Login type
Easy Profile allow user login also with email instead username (or both). If you choose "only email" then Easy Profile will remove Username field from frontend, username will be generated from name (if possible). 

» Name Style
Joomla have only one field to request name, with Easy Profile you can split this field in multiple entries (firstname,secondname,lastname). Easy profile make Joomla name from these fields.

» Display Format Name
Choose format of name in all parts of Easy Profile

» Enable Avatar
Avatar is a core field, so you can't delete or disable from backend like others fields, this parameter allow you to manage if avatar field will be used or not, Easy Profile will set publish status of this field based on this parameter.

» Show Online Status
This parameter enable Online status in all parts of Easy Profile.

» Confirm email address (Frontend)
Joomla require confirmation of email address, you can disable this behaviour from this parameter. Email is a clear field (not like password), so is not necessary to confirm email address.

» Password Strengthmeter
Enable or Disable Password Strengthmeter.

» Hide Empty Fields on Profile
You can choose to see all fields on profile, even if not filled. in Empty field you will see a value like "No information entered".

» Force the compilation of the required fields on login
If this paramter is enabled, when user make a login then he will be redirect on edit profile page to fill all required fields (if missing). User can continue to use your site only after filled all required fields.

» Redirect after Login
In this parameter you can set menu item to redirect your users after login. This parameter override any other redirect configuration.

» Redirect after first Login
In this parameter you can set menu item to redirect your users only after first login (for example like welcome page). This parameter override any other redirect configuration.

» View the form in tabs (Registered and edit profile views)
Registration/Edit profile page are the same of Joomla, but we have make this simple feature, with Javascript you can split Joomla Fiedset in Tabs.

» Visibility Profiles
This parameter set permission to see Profiles page of other users, with a simple rule.

» Visibility Profiles (Custom Access)
This parameter set permission to see Profiles page of other users, with a Access Level rule, this parameter works only if previous parameter is set to Custom.

» Include Bootstrap CSS files
This is useful to improve style of Easy Profile when you use a template that not use Bootstrap CSS Classes. 

Social Connect (only Pro version)

» See links to social network on profile
If this parameter is enable you will see link to social profile in profile page (Only if account is linked with some social provider).

» Show Social Buttons as Icons
You can choose buttons type on login page to make social login/registration

» Other Parameters
